Authorizes Construction Contractors Board to <br />notify person of contractor’s license status and to charge for cost of notification. <br />Specifies form by which subcontractor or material supplier may waive right to <br />claim of lien. Prohibits contractors as condition of commencing or performing <br />home improvement from charging owner deposit or other sum larger than <br />amount board sets by rule. Permits owner to withhold percentage of contract <br />price for home improvement as retainage pending owner’s acceptance of work or <br />receipt of waivers from subcontractors and material suppliers. Specifies form of <br />notice informing owner of right to withhold retainage.
