(a) Except when an existing lot or parcel is located entirely within the <br />intersection influence area, no access connection to an arterial or major <br />collector street shall be located within the intersection influence area. If <br />an existing lot or parcel is located entirely within the intersection <br />influence area, an access connection, of minimum width, onto an arterial <br />or major collector street will be permitted provided the access <br />connection is located along the property line furthest from the <br />intersection. <br />1. Influence areas of controlled intersections shall be based on the <br />street classification as set out in the chart below. The influence <br />area for the primary street shall be measured from the centerline <br />of the secondary street; the influence area for the secondary <br />street shall be measured from the centerline of the primary street. <br />If the intersecting streets have the same street classification, both <br />streets are considered primary streets. <br />Primary Street ClassificationSecondary Street Classification <br />Major Arterial – 250 ft.Minor Arterial – 200 ft. <br />Minor Arterial – 200 ft.Major Collector – 150 ft. <br />Major Collector – 150 ft. The <br />influence area for the primary street shall be measured from the <br />centerline of the secondary street, the influence area for the <br />secondary street shall be measured from the centerline of the <br />primary street.
