Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission Capital Improvement Program <br />flow for the project. For those projects that are in progress, a short status report is included on <br />the summary sheet. <br />Regional Wastewater Asset Management Capital Program <br />Another category of projects in the MWMC Capital Budget are those capital projects and <br />capital purchases that are administered by the City of Eugene for MWMC, and which provide <br />for major reconstruction, replacement, repairs, and purchases necessary to maintain <br />functionality, lifespan, and effectiveness of existing facility assets. We call this the Asset <br />Management Capital Program. Three sub-categories are included in the Asset Management <br />category: <br />a.Equipment Replacement – <br />b.Major Rehabilitation – <br />c.Major Capital Outlay – <br />FY 10-11 Asset Management Capital Program Budget <br />Equipment Replacement Program - Budget <br />The FY 10-11 Capital Programs budget includes $105,579 in Equipment Replacement <br />purchases, which are identified on the table below. <br />Equipment Replacement Projects <br />Project Description FY 10-11 Proposed <br />Budget <br />Septic Facility Controls/Communication$20,000 <br />Pressure Washer – Biosolids Dewatering $10,000 <br />Computer Replacement $34,234 <br />Fleet Replacement $41,345 <br />Total$105,579 <br />Septic Facility Controls/Communication – The septage receiving station’s control and <br />communication system is more than 13 years old. The typical replacement schedule for <br />electronic controls and communication devices range between 5-10 years. This replacement <br />project will improve the reliability of the equipment used to track and process septage hauler <br />information for record requirements and billing purposes. <br />Pressure Washer – The pressure washer for the biosolids dewatering equipment has been <br />service for 10 years and has reached the end of its useful lift. The pressure washer is used on a <br />daily basis during the biosolids dewatering operations to wash down process equipment. <br />Page 44 DRAFT FY 10-11 BUDGET AND CIP <br />
