ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 5S• -10 -06 <br />of the <br />Traffic Engineer of the City of Eugene <br />ESTABLISHING A DELIVERY VEHICLE PARKING PERMIT PROGRAM. <br />The Traffic Engineer of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />.A*- Section 5.040 of the Eugene Code, 1971 (EC) authorizes the City Manager or the <br />Manager's designee to take administrative action establishing parking area time limitations, <br />including the form of permissible parking and imposing conditions upon which the streets and <br />other public property may be used for parking. <br />B. Administrative Order No. 58-09-14 delegated to the Traffic Engineer of the <br />Public works Department the authority to exercise all of the duties and responsibilities <br />specifically defined as those of the City Manger in EC 5.040 and 5.050. <br />C. It is in the City's interest to facilitate economic activity, provide additional <br />parking options outside of commercial parking spaces, and encourage legal use of the regulated <br />parking system. <br />On the basis of these findings, I order the establishment of a delivery vehicle <br />parking permit program as follows: <br />19 - Definition A delivery vehicle is defined by one or both of the following criteria: <br />a. A vehicle with a "T" license plate. The plate is issued by the state of Oregon. <br />b. A vehicle bearing the name of the business displayed on at least the driver's side <br />of the vehicle. This information may be either imprinted on the vehicle or on a <br />commercially made sign (measuring no less than 12 inches in height and 12 <br />inches in width.) <br />20' Parking ,Space Designation and Use Permitted vehicles may occupy a metered space <br />for not more. than l 0 minutes without payment of meter fees. <br />3. Delivery Vehicle ParkinLy Permit <br />a. Application for a delivery vehicle permit shall be submitted to the City on a City- <br />approved form'. <br />Administrative Order Page I of 2 <br />
