Bicycle counts were taken at the study intersections during the AM and PM peak vehicular periods. These
volumes are shown in Table 3-10 by north-south or east-west approaches for both the AM and PM peak
hours. As shown, bike activity in the study area is relatively low. During peak hour vehicular activity the
thth
two intersections with the most bike activity (4 each) were W 11 Avenue/Shopping Center and W 11
Avenue/McKinley Street. It is to be noted that the count was conducted during a winter month when cooler
weather may discourage bicycle riding. It is expected that bike activity would be higher in the summer
months.
Table 3-10: West 11th Avenue Bicycle Crossing Volumes
AM Peak HourPM Peak Hour

Study Intersection

North-SouthEast-WestNorth-SouthEast-West
th
W 11 Ave/Green Hill Rd 0 0 0 0
th
W 11 Ave/Ed Cone Rd 0 0 0 0
th
W 11 Ave/Terry St 0 1 0 1
th
W 11 Ave/Danebo Ave-Willow Creek Rd 0 0 0 0
th
W 11 Ave/Beltline Rd 0 0 0 0
th
W 11 Ave/Commerce St 0 1 1 1
th
W 11 Ave/Bertelsen Rd 0 1 0 0
th
W 11 Ave/Bailey Hill Rd 1 0 0 1
th
W 11 Ave/Shopping Center 0 4 0 4
th
W 11 Ave/Seneca Rd 0 0 0 2
th
W 11 Ave/Tyinn St 0 1 0 3
th
W 11 Ave/Oak Patch Rd 1 0 0 2
th
W 11 Ave/Conger St 0 1 0 3
th
W 11 Ave/McKinley St 1 3 1 4
th
W 11 Ave/City View St 0 2 1 2
th
W 11 Ave/Garfield St 0 0 0 2
th
W 11 Ave/Chambers St 0 0 0 1
th
W 13 Ave/Garfield St 0 0 2 0
th
W 13 Ave/Chambers St 0 0 1 2
th
W 6 Ave/Garfield St 0 2 0 1
th
W 7 Ave/Garfield St 1 0 0 3
th
W 7 Ave/Chambers St 2 0 1 0
thththth
Notes: Data collected during 1 hour peak period on either December 12 or 13, 2007, or February 13 or 14, 2008.
Transit Service
Lane Transit District (LTD) provides public transit to the Eugene-Springfield area.
