Mayor Kitty Piercy called the <br />meeting of the Eugene City Council to order. As Board Chair Bill Fleenor had not yet arrived, Board Vice <br />Chair Rob Handy convened the meeting of the Lane Board of County Commissioners and reviewed the Lane <br />County file numbers for the items under consideration. <br /> <br />1. PUBLIC HEARING: <br /> <br />Mayor Piercy opened the public hearing on behalf of Eugene. <br /> <br />Mayor Leiken opened the public hearing on behalf of Springfield. <br /> <br />Mr. Handy opened the public hearing on behalf of Lane County. <br /> <br />Mr. Yeiter provided the staff report. He recalled that in 2007, the Metropolitan Policy Committee (MPC) <br />adopted a new federally required Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), which triggered State transportation <br />planning rules that the area adopt findings of consistency between TransPlan and the RTP, or amend <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES—Joint Elected Officials—Lane County & Eugene June 17, 2010 Page 1 <br /> <br />
