Naming the new I-5 bridge Whilamut Passage Bridge will help <br />to preserve this heritage. Because of its similarity to the more <br />familiar Willamette, it will catch people's ear (and eye) and be a <br />reminder of our area's rich history. I urge the city council to adopt <br />the resolution, and recommend that ODOT designate the bridge the <br />Whilamut Passage Bridge.
