Attachment B is the FY 2004 Annual <br />Report documenting the major Police Commission accomplishments over the past year. <br /> <br />Timing <br />A decision on the Police Commission work plan and contingency request at this meeting will allow the <br />group to move forward in a timely manner on its main work plan item, "Internal Affairs and Civilian <br />Oversight Review." <br /> <br />OPTIONS <br />The City Council may: <br />1. Approve the Police Commission FY 2005 Work Plan and the contingency request as proposed; <br />2. Amend the FY 2005 Work Plan and/or contingency request and adopt the plan as amended; or <br />3. Direct the Police Commission to modify the plan and bring the revised version back to the City <br /> Council for approval at a later date. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that City Council approve the work plan and contingency request, with minor <br />modifications as necessary. <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION <br />Move to approve the Police Commission FY05 Work Plan. <br /> <br />Move to authorize expenditure of an amount not to exceed $70,000 to support the Police Commission's <br />review of the internal affairs policies and procedures and civilian oversight models. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />A.
