Measure No* 53: <br />CMRTIMR AMM.1NT REQUIRING COLLECTIVE BARGAINING <br />AGREMENTS <br />PUMSEs Charter amendment requiring City of Eugene, <br />through its council or agents, to bargain collectively � <br />and negotiate written contracts with Eugene Firefighters <br />Local. 851, American Federation of State, County, <br />Municipal Employ Loca 1724A, and rep of <br />other appropriate employee bargaining units regarding <br />conditions of employment, wag hours, working condo. -i <br />tions, retirement, pens ions, and other benefits, es-- <br />tablishing bargaining time schedules and procedures, <br />requiring settlement of disputes by compulsory binding <br />arbitration, and arbitration costs to be paid by City. <br />Section. The Recorder is hereby directed to accept and to <br />publish with each of the foregoing proposed Charter Amendments, <br />statements favoring and opposing each of said measures as shall be <br />submitted by interested persons, parties and organizations and <br />including any statement in favor or opposed to said measure to be <br />furnished by the Common Council of the City of Eugene <br />The foregoing Resolution adopted this 23rd day of March, 1970s <br />s Z s. <br />CITE` RECORDER <br />Page 2.
