ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 98- 01
{ of the
Director
Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Eugene
'Delegating Authority to Act as "Person in Charge of
Premises" to city of Eugene Police officers.
The Director of the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Eugene finds that:
A. Pursuant to Resolution No. 981 of the Urban Renewal Agency of the city of
Eugene (Agency), as Director of the Agency i am authorized to act as the Agency's
business agent.
B. 'The Agency is the owner of : parking structures and facilities within the city,
and city police officers frequently patrol these structures and facilities or are j4 quested to
respond to incidents occurring therein. Some enforcement actions require the presence
of, or action by a "person in charge" of the premises, and it would be in the public interest
to delegate that authority to city of Eugene police officers.
Now, THEREFORE,
The Director of the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Eugene orders' and
directs that:
Based on the above findings, which are hereby adopted, city of Eugene police
officers are hereby delegated authority to act on the Agency's behalf as a "person in
charge of premises" with respect to parking structures or facilities owned by the Agency.
This authority is in addition to, and not in lieu of, existing authority of other persons to act
in such capacity.
Dated and effective this day ofAay, 1998.
James R. Johnson, Director
Administrative Order
