<br />Mr. Brown wanted to serve on the committee. He said was a business operator and supported an income <br />tax to support schools. He said that the quality of the education system affected businesses and it was a <br />real issue for many businesses. <br /> <br />Mr. Poling hoped the issue of what revenue source would be answered by polling. He said if the <br />committee did not have its recommendations in place by February 14, he was okay with that. There <br />would be another ballot opportunity. <br /> <br />Mr. Clark said when he suggested representation from the business community, he was not suggesting <br />someone who was opposed to or supportive of such a measure, but someone who could provide the <br />committee with realistic impact assessments about what a proposed revenue source would do to the local <br />economy.
