Couneilr]an Warnoek reported that tt~e remonstrance which was presented <br />against the petition for grading and graveling of Second Street from Jackson to <br />Blair Streets had. been signed by property owners ovming property west of. Blair <br />Street ~nd not along the propossd improvement, and the Recorder was instructed <br /> <br />to fil.e tt~e petition and remonstrance. <br /> <br /> Re~:ort of Street Co~missioner Turner was 'read, showing 1~I.,656 feet of <br /> <br />lumber used, and also 136 yards of crushed gravel for street repairs. <br /> <br />It was stated that }$_r. G. A. Dor~-is and l~s. ~. S. Wallis desire to grade <br /> <br />Tenth Street' along their property in the Wallis-Dorris Addition at their Gym <br />expense, and on motion, seconded and carried the privilege was granted. <br /> <br /> · The Clark & ' ~ . <br /> Henery. Construction Co requested, and on motion, was granted <br /> <br />a tt~ree m0ntlm' extension of time on their contract for the completion of t!~e <br /> <br />paving of East Fifth Street, and also requested permission to go ahead under <br />their contract for the paving and curbing, of East Eighth Street, and on notion <br />made, seconded and carried the h]~gineer was instructed to furnish urade stakes <br />and grades for the construction of curb and g~tter on said street as the <br /> <br />Compa~ty desire to proceed with this work. <br /> <br />The Finance Conmittee by Councilman Hetealf reported and recommended for <br /> <br />payment bills against the City as follows: <br /> <br /> GENERAL FUND <br /> <br />3.2o <br /> <br />1.50 <br /> <br />Eugene Gun Co. <br />E.
