<br />in accordance with his bid. The notion was seconded by Mr. Mc!~urpt~ey and the ayes a~.~d
<br />nays were called; CounCilmen voting ~ye Johnson, ~oppe, ~,fc!~urphey, Dorr~ Bean, and
<br />Striker, nay none, abs~ent Hensill and Bell. !,{orion was declared c~rried a.nd so ordered.

<br /> Referring to th_e bids for the purch5se of $100,000 Extension Bonds, Mr. Bean
<br />stated that the only bid received was that of Farson Son & Co., and that while the
<br />bid appeared to offer a pre,itu?, that it was conditioned upon ~n allowance of legal
<br />expenses, blank bonds, etc., and ~lso that a proviso for a deposit of the.money with
<br />Farson SOn & ~o. to be only withdravrn as needed in progre.~ss of the work, and on
<br />these conditions the Co~,mnittee considered tt~e bid as under par and unsatisfactory in
<br />its terms and an undesirable bid, and recoL~nended ttD~t the Council reject said bid.
<br />The motion was made, se,ended and carried to reject said bid.
