Bell and Be~n. <br /> <br /> The Sewer Co~.~migtee reported that the bid of Calver%~ onaska &Waiker was the <br /> <br />lowest and best. bid for the construction of a, lateral sewer %ruder 0rd~nance.~13hl.~,~ an1. <br />reeo'~mended that the contract be awarded to them in accordance wi~i~ their bid and tha~ <br /> <br />tt~e ~{ayor and Recorder be instructed to enter info a contract. <br />seconded and carried tO adopt the report o~ the Co~:~ittee.. <br /> <br />~{otion was made <br /> <br />A co~,~;u~nication was read fron Chas, W. Co~mer ,& Son stating that they would be <br /> <br />unable to comply with their bid for the construction of a sewer tu~der Ordinance <br /> <br />¢/1333 and would' be compelled to forfeit their cheek o~ ¢227.00-. },,{orion was <br /> <br />seconded and carried that their check be declared forfeited tO the City. Council- <br /> <br />man Striker moved that the action of tt~e Council in a~va.rdi~k~ of eo~%traet under <br /> <br />0rdinanee ¢/1333 be reconsidered. <br /> <br />Eotion seconded and cavried. <br /> <br />CounciLman Striker .moved that the contract for the construction of seweP under <br /> <br />0~'dinance .//'1333 be awarded to Jas. Xem%e¢~/ Construction CO. in accordance witi~ <br /> <br />their bid; it appeari~zg to ti~e Council that ti~eir bid is ,the next lowest bid for said <br /> <br />work and that the ~,I. ayQr and Recorder be instructed to enter into a contract tltere- <br /> <br />for. Eot'ion was seconded and carried, <br /> <br />Tl~e Street Co;~.~:~ittee by Councilman He}~{urphey reported in regard to paving of <br /> <br />Charnelton Street from l~th to llth Avenues, that there were 2310 feet of front foot- <br /> <br />age represented on the petition and 1788 feet on the remonstrance, and _-:oved that <br /> <br />ti~e Council finds and deter, mines that the remonstrance does not contain a majority <br /> <br />of front footage o~' off_ property evaders along the said propose(.t improvement and that <br /> <br />the Council award ti~e_eontr~et for said improve~nent to tl~e Clark & Henery Construeb'ion , <br /> <br /> <br />
