Present Councilmen Koppe, Doff, Bell, Beau dnd <br /> <br />Striker; absent Hensil!, Johnson and McMu~phe¥. <br /> <br />The Sewer Committee by Councilman Bell resxl the report on bids for <br /> <br />construction of sewers, asfollows: <br /> <br /> "Sewer in alley between Lincoln & Lav~ence Streets from 2nd Ave. to connect <br /> <br />· with existing manhole at 3rd Ave. & Lawrence St., Ordinance ~1365, awarded <br /> <br /> to 0lc Soleim for #365.87. <br /> <br /> On Ferry St. f~om main ik~ sewer on 9th Ave. to 0. & O. R. R. right of <br /> Ordinance #1~6, awarded to Applewhite & Stein at $605.10. <br /> <br /> In alley between llth ~nd 12th Avenues from VanBuren St. to ~dison St. <br /> 0~dinanee #1367, awarded to Mahaney & Christensen at ~52.5~. <br /> <br /> In alley between 10th and llth Avenues from Mormoe St. to VanBuren St., <br /> 0rdlnance#1568, awarded to Mahaney & Chrlstensen at ~56.70. <br /> <br /> Councilman Bell moved that the report be accepted an~ the EmMet and Recorder <br /> <br />instmtcted to enter into a contract v~th the successful contractors and that <br /> <br />all other, bids be rejected and checks of ~uusuccessful bidders retuz, ned. _ <br /> <br />MOtion was seconded and carried. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance prohibiting horse racing, notoreycle and automobile <br /> <br />ing v~thin the 0ity of Et~gene was read and passed i~s second~and third read, <br />ings by title under suspension of the rule and was placed upon its finml <br />passage. Councilmen v'otlng aye 5, nay none, absent 5.
