Aug. 29, 1913, put- suant to call of the Mayor, and was called to order by Mayor Yoran; present Councllmen,'Hensill,Johnson, Dorr,.Bean ~nd Striker;. absent, Koppe, Bell and He~{urphey. t~e Call of tt~e meeting was read. An Ordinance to improve Twentieth Avenue from Alder Street to University Street in the City of Eugene, ~nd repe~ling Ordinance ~o. 1301, was read, ~nd motion was made seconded and cmrried to amend s~id Ordinance by inserting at~ the end of Section One the following.' "Bids will be received and considered separately for the grading and for the m~cadamlzing of said street". The 0rdin~noe as ~sended passed its second o, nd third readings by title unde~ suspension of the rule and was placed upon its final passage; Councilmen voting Aye ~, NsF none, absent three. The 0rdinanoe was declared passed and numbered 1386, An 0rdinanoe t,o improve Harris street from Eig~xteenth Avenue to twenty third Avenue in the Cit2- of kAw~ene mhd repemling Ordinance No. 1~0~, was read and a motion was made se:oonded ~nd carried to amend said ordinance by inserting at the end of Section 0r~e tl~e following~ "Bids will be received ~nd considered separately for the grading ~nd for the m~oadamizing of said Street". The 0rdin~noe ~ ~aended passed its second and third readings by ~itle under suspension of the ~rule and was placed upon its final passage; 0ouneilmen voting Aye 5, Nay none, absent three.
