September 8, 191~. <br /> <br />Council Chambers, Eugene, Oregon, ,September 8, 1913. <br /> <br />Council was called to order in regular montttly session by Hayer Yoran. <br /> <br />Present CounciLmen Johnson, Koppe, ~(cMurphey, Doff, Bell, Bean and Striker; absent <br /> <br />Hensill. <br /> <br /> ~The minutes of Council proceedings ~mder dates of, Auba~st llth, 12th, 2~th, <br />26th~and September 2nd were read.and ~pproved. <br /> Reports of E. C. Cole poun~bmaster, J.~ P. Turner Street Comnissioner, and the <br />electrical inspe~ction report of Free Thomas Building ~nspector were read and <br />placed on File. <br /> <br /> The Fire & ¥~ater Com~_,ittee recon~ended that .~IR. G. Knudson be employed as m <br />.firenmn and driver fo~ the aut° ~ire e~tgine, and the motion was made and seco~Qded <br /> <br />that the recommendation be adopted and ~. K~udson be placed on regular pmy~ roll at <br /> <br />SVO.O0 per month, oo~aencing September 9th, and that the Recorder and <br /> <br />structed~to draw and issue his warrant at the time re~D~lar monthly s~laries are paid. <br /> <br />The,ayes and ~ys~were called; Councilmen 'voting aye Johnson, Koppe, McMurphey, <br /> <br />Doff, Bell, Bean and Striker, nay none, absent I{enslll. Motion was declared <br /> <br />carried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> ~ ~D~e Sewer ComJaittee recommended that Jo~_~es Ke~medv be allowed OlO,O00.O0 <br /> <br />out of the money i~eld b~ck on the second section of the Trunk Sewer. The recom- <br /> <br />mendatlon was on motion adopted.. <br /> <br />The Finance Commtittee by Oh~irman Bean reco~m~ended bills for payment as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />I~. E.
