Present Counci]Jaen Hensill, Joi~nson, }~c~urpt~ey, Dorr, <br /> <br />Bell and Striker; absent Koppe and Bean. <br /> <br /> A petition for the grinding and ~.acadamizing of Grand St. f~om the City <br /> <br />limits South to Railroad Boulevard, together .witi~ reco~.~endation of the Street <br /> <br />.Co~%ittee that the City Attorney prepare an 0rdin~nce covering the improvement, <br /> <br />and ~gineer prepare plans and specifications, was read and motion made, second- <br />ed tt~at the petition be granted in accordance with recommendation of the Street <br /> <br />C o~mtit t e e. <br /> <br /> A petition for a sewe~ in the alley between Patterson ~nd Hilyard Streets <br />from the Millrace North to alley running~'~est to Patterson Street,~ thence ¥~est <br />in said ~lley to point 80 feet East of Ps~tterson Street, thenc~ North through <br /> <br />the property of ~.~rs. Lucy Abraxas and ~[rs. Anna Hol~es to the 9ttx Avenue sewer <br />was read, together with ~v~itten report of the Sewer Co~'?~nittee ~ecommending the <br /> <br />granting of petition and that the Engineer prepare plans and specifications and <br />City Attorney prepare ~n Ordinance for the improve~.~.ent, and a motion was made, <br />seconded and carried that the petition be granted in accordan, ce with report <br /> <br />of Sewer Coml.~ittee. <br /> <br /> 0hairm~n Bell of the Sewer Committee reported that he had purchased, <br />subject to approvml of the Council from F. L. Chambers for $150.00, a portion <br />of Polk Street for right-of-way purposes fo~ sewer, and presented the warranty <br /> <br />deed to the Council. On motion the report of ttxe Sewer Committee was <br /> <br />adopted and deed accepted, and Recorden instructed to have the same recorded ~ <br /> <br />by the County O!erk. <br /> <br /> Bills were presented of F. D. Chambers and v~lfe in the s~nn of $150.00 in <br />p~vment of above deed, and O. H. Kain for blue printing in the sum of <br /> <br />Motion was made end seconded that the bills be ~!!owed and warrants drawn on <br /> <br />the Road & Street ~ktud and General [~nd respeotive!y in payment of said bills. <br /> <br />The ayes and n~ys were ca!led; ~Councilmen voting aye Hensi!!, Johnson, ~c~trphe~ <br /> <br /> Bell and Striker; nay none~ absent Eoppe and Bean. <br />carried and so ordered. <br /> <br />Motion was declared <br /> <br />An Ordinance levying assessments for the improvenent of 5th Street East <br /> <br />from Wlll~nette to High Streets in the City of klM;erie was presented for further <br /> <br />consideration, ~nd it was stated by the City Engineer that all of the objections <br /> <br />of property o~lers for levying of s~id assessments had been satisfactorily od- <br /> <br /> <br />
