The matter of adjustment of assesm~ent for grading and gravelli~g on West 6th Street was referred to the City Attorney, .City E~g~lneer and Street Coati,tee for fu~the~ consideration. Councilman !{cM~rphey stated that warrant #1~9 dated October 13, 1903, issued to kh~gene Water. Co. had been assigned to Alberta S. ~-~c~urphey at that time, that the warrant had been called on Hatch 25, 190l~, witt~ ,~2.2~ accrued interest, making ~ ~ot~l agaom~t due on warran~ ~5.9 ; tha~ !~rs. ~{c~u~/~hoy had lost the warrant and asked the City to issue a warrant, mt this time in payment pf the amount due oon4itioned upon a. bond satisfactory to the City Attorney to indema~ify the ~ity against m~y loss onaccount of w~rrant #199, ~nd ~ notion was made and seconded that Recorder be instructed to draw m warrant on the General Fund in f~vor of Albert~ S. l.[cH~phey for .~5.P7 on the filing of said bond. The ~yes and r~ys were emlled; Counci]a~en voting aye Hensill, Koppe, McEurpt%ey, Doff, Bell, Bean ~nd Beytien, nay none, ~bsent 1. !~{otion was declared e~rried and so ordered. The I~ire &?fater. Uom~nittee by Co~n~eilman Bell recom.~.ended that the petition for street light ~t 20~h ~nd University Street intersection be not gr~nted, as there is more need for ligi%ts in other places at this time. 0n motion the reco~muendmtion was adopted.
