's Right-of-'~Vay extendin~ South to near the north property line of Fifteenth Avenue, and an 0rdinauee levying assess- merits for the .construction of a sewer in the alley between ~D~.erald and Beech Streets beginnir~ at the Trunk Sewer at the ~outh rip,at-of-way line of the Oregon & C~liforni~ Railroad Co. 's Rigi~t-of-%~tay and extending South to near the North property line of Fifteenth Avenue, ~nd an 0rdin~nce levying assess~uents for the construction of a sewer in the alley between Fourth and Fifth Avenues fron a poin$ opposite the Northeast corner of Lot l, Block l, Walters & Seifferts Addition to excavated Trunk Sewer on Polk Street were each re~d and laid over on their first reading and the Recorder was directed to give due notice by publication of each of the proposed assessr, ents. A Resolution providing for the openinj~ e, nd extention of Seventeenth Avenue East from ¥~illamette to Hill Streets and directing the Engineer to ~..~ke and file the plat and description therefor was read, and a ~%otion was m~%de, seconded ~nd carried that the Resolution be adopted. A Resolution providing for the openi~ and extention of Thirteenth Avenue V/eSt fro~ '¢~i].la~ette to Olive Streets ant[ directing the ~ngineer to m~ke and file the pl~t and description tBerefor was read. And in connection therewith protest from H. R. Kinoaid against the opening of said ~_~irteenth Street between Olive ~nd C5~arnelton Streets w~s read. A motion was made and seconded to adopt the Resolution; and ~% motion w~s ~.~de ~nd seconded to amend the original motion providi~ that the word "Olive" be substituted for the word "Ohs. melton" in the Resolution. ~{otion was e~rried. The motion as ar. ended w~s then put and carried and the Resolution as ~.uended was declared adopted. A bill was presented for 350 feet of B~y State hose for $~80.00. in favo~ of C. R. Hinslow & Co. of Portland, and a motion was made and seconded that a 2 per
