Lombard for the s~. of,~-'-'~t'l'n~..00 was read,_ and~ ~:~otion was made and seconded that the Resolution be adopted and the Recorder instructed to draw a warrant in favor of A. Lombard on the Trm~ Sewer lCm~d for said sr~n of 8k[~.00 to be delivered on receipt of deed to said property. Ti~e ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voti~ aye I[ensi!l, Koppe, ~lcl~urphey, Bell, Bean and Beytien, nay none, absent Johnson and Dorr. and so ordered. The ~?.otion was declared carried A discussion of' the assessment of Nineteenth Avenue from Agate to Alder Streets by property owners and Com~ci/m~en occupied the Council mt this tine. At this tine Com~ci]mmn Dorr appeared in Cmmcil. ~lotion was ~::ade, seconded and ea~ied that the Council re-consider ~the vote on the final passage of the Ordinance levying assessments for tim improve-' ment of Nineteenth Avenue.from A(~ate to Alder Streets. The 0rdi~nce was then read again-and d..la~'ed upon its final passage Councilmen voting aye 7, nay none, absent ].. TP.~ Ordinance was declared pass~d and mu.~bered ~11~35. ~ The Finance CoPanittee by Chairman Bean reported that ti~ey ired examined the bids for the purchase of f~10 ,300. 00 Improvement Bonds and fom~d that..the lowest and best bid for the purchase of sa. id bonds was the bid. of. tim l~irst. National Ba~k of E~_~ene, Oregon, which bid was ~;10 ,300. 00 at par, accrued interest and premit~ of 00, and moved tibet the sale oS said bonds be awarded to said First National Bank and ti;at all other bids be rejected and the Recorder instructed to return the checks to unsuccessful, bidders. ~,lotion was seconded the ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voti~W~ aye Hensi!l, Koppe, ~e!,:hu~phey, Doff, Bell, Bean and Beytien, nay none. absent Johnson. motion was declared earrled and so ordered. 0n motion the matter of purchase of fire hook was ~.eferred .to the ~lre ¥~ater Committee with power to act.
