The motion was-seconded 'and carried' Request of ~. F. Croner, Fire Chief, for a two weeks' vacation on pay to cormence ~ay 2nd was on motion g~anted. Councilman Jonson requested per~aission to install shower baths for the firemen and stated tt~at the boys could do most of t!xe work, and that an acc~,a- lation of old brass and rubber could be sold to apply towards ttxe expense. Hotion was nade, seconded and e~rried giving Counei~an Jotmson power to act the hatter. ~r. Raueh presented tt~e matter of creating an inspector of milk and d~iries and requesting a license for said business. The s~e was ~eferred to tI~e Health Comittee. Tixe matter of using the product of the local cono~,ete works in the eon- struetion of sewers in the City of ~gene was again presented to the Council by Hr. Ad~s, ~n. Ro~en, ]~. Hall and others, and ttxe gentlenen were assured ti~e operation of the 0ity as far as possible. l~otion was made, seconded and carried that the Council do now adjourn to meet ~:{ay W, 191l~, at V:~ o'clock P.
