JUNE <br /> <br />i An Ordinance approving the survey, report and plat of tl~e 0ity E~inee~ '/' <br /> <br />· for the widening of Hadison Street from the south line of Fourth Avenue to the <br /> <br />~ north line of Fifth Avenue in tt~e Oity of ~ene, and oppointing viewe~a to vi~ <br /> <br />such proposed street an~ make assessment of ds~ages and benefits was read and <br />passed' its second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule and <br /> <br />was placed upon its final passage, Oo~mcilmen voting aye 8, nay none. <br /> <br />The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered #15~. <br /> <br />Report of Buildi~g Inspector Alexander fz'om ~{ay 12th to June 1st was <br /> <br />read and placed'on file. <br /> <br />Bids for the paving of the alley betweenWillam, ette and Oak Streets <br /> <br />from Ninth to Tenth Avenues, and' oF the alley between Ninth ~nd Tenth Avenues <br />from Willamette Street to 0akStreet were opened and read, and referred to tt~e <br /> <br />Street Co~ittee for examination and report. <br /> <br /> Bids for tt~e p~ehase of ,.~,000.00 Armory Bonds were opened and read, <br />and a motion was made, seconded and carried that the bids be ~eferred to the <br />l~inance Cmm~ittee for consideration, and report to the Council on June Rth at <br />W o'clock P. ~. <br /> <br /> The Finance Com,~ittee by Chairman Devereaux..reco~muended that the ~ity <br /> <br />Treasurer be instz~.mted to deposit ~atl the money now held in the Improvement <br />Sinki~ I,~nd or any of the Sinking ~mds ereated by taxation, and all of the <br />moneys coming into these ftmds from assessz~ents or taxation in the' various banks <br /> <br />of ttxe 0ity in time certificates at ti. per cent interest. Ttze cez, tificates to <br /> <br />be made in suei~ ~otu~ts as may be most convenient to the City.
