Councilman }:{eHurphey stated that he had received a petition f~om a majority .of the property~ owners on l~{ill Street askir~ that the council award the contract for paving said street %o Ol~rk and Henery Construction Company the only bidder, and moved that the Council finds and deter~ines ti~at the bid of skid'Olark s~d Henery is a re~,sonable bid and that the Council ~ward then the contract in accordance with their bid and that the Nayor and Recorder sign the same on behalf of tt~e City. Motion seconded and carried. Councilman Me}~5~rphey moved that tl~e Council finds that tt~e remonstrance filed against the paving of Ninth Avenue f~'om High Street to O. & C. R. R. does not contain a majo~-ity ;~nd tluat the sa~.e be overruled. 5{orion seconded and c~rried. ~r. }~{c}~%n:phe¥-moved that the Council finds and determines that the bid of Cla~'k & l{ener¥ Construction Co. for pavi~ said Ninth Avenue is the lowest and best bid and that the Council award them the contract in accel, dance witt~ their bid 'and that the ~ayor a~d Recorder sign ti~e same on behalf of the Cl~, ~otion seconded and c~r~ied. ~otion made, seconded s, nd carried ttu%t the Council adjourn to meet on Ausust 5rd,. 1911~, at 7:30 o.'olock P.
