On motion the reco~ae~ation was adopted. <br /> <br /> The ~'ire & Water Committee also stated that the estimated cost of con- <br />neeti~ fire ~l~rm s~ste~a with the 9ity p~p station was the st~ of $120. <br />Hatter was left with the ~i~e &Waten Co~maittee fo~ furthe~ investigation. <br /> <br /> Chairman Goodpasture of the Judiciary Co~J~ittee reported that the membens <br />of the City Council and City Attorney had met with the Officers of the Portland, <br />~gene & Eastern Railway Co. and had reached ~n agreement whereby the City was <br />to v~den West Eighth Avenue; tl~ Compa~ agreei~ to contribute $3500 towards the <br />cost thereof and also ag~eel~ to repai~ the pavi~ alo~ its tracks in the City, <br />and on motion tt~e report was adopted, and the City Attorney directed to prepare <br />papers coveri~ the agreement with the Railway Co. and submit tt~em at the next <br />Council me eti~. <br /> <br /> On motion the.
