Motion was declared carried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> A eon~mur~teation of the Oregon Electric Railway Co. by H. R. Knight <br />relating to the spur track to the Allen & Lewis property was read, and the <br />matter was referred to the entire Council to take up with the Oregon Electric <br />Railway Co. October 12th at 9:30 A. M. <br /> <br /> Mr. C. L. Coglan requested the Council to install at least ten more <br />booths in the public market, anti the request was referred to the.Finance & <br />Stree~ Committees Jointly, and temporary privilege was granted to stand pro- <br />duce wagons on Park Street around the corner North of the present market. <br /> <br /> Reques~ of the Southern Pacific Co. to hire the City roller at less than <br />the customary rate was refe.r~.ed to the Street Con~ittee with power to act. <br /> <br /> Further letters between the Nott Fire Engine Co. and ~ity Attorney <br /> <br />latlng to the repair of the fire engine were read, and the matter continued in the <br />hands of the Fire & Water Co~ai~tee and City Attorney. <br /> <br /> COuncilman Nosher reported that the Building Co~aittee had instructed <br /> <br />the architect to' begin his work by plannl,~g for the housing of the fire depart- <br />ment, anti recormaended that the City Attorney take up with the Oregon Power Co. <br />and the P. E. & E. Railway Co. the matter of removing poles at the point where <br />the entrance to the ?i.t.e department will be made. The reco~aendation was on <br /> <br /> <br />
