The ayes and nays <br />were called; Councilmen voting aye Parks, Polders, Koppe, Peterson, Devereaux, <br />~,~osher, Goodpast~re and Quimby, nay none. l~otion was declared e~rried and <br />so ordered. <br /> <br /> Councilman Peterson recom~nended that Wallace Walker take the place on <br />tt~e list of call firemen made vacant by the appointment of }ir. ~vers to reg~l~r <br />service. Motion was made, seconded and e~rried to confirm the recommendation. <br /> <br /> Some suggestions for the equipment of a modern City Jail were referred <br />to the Building Committee. <br /> <br /> Bids for the sale of wood to the City were opened and read, and referred <br />to the Finance Com~uittee with power to act. <br /> <br /> In the matter of the ~sses~ment against Wm. H. Field, Book G Page 20 <br />Treasurer's Record, motion w~s made, seconded and c~rried that the Treasurer be <br />instructed to receive in satisfaction of the assessment for the improvement of <br />south Will~mette Street, under 0rdin~nee #1206, Lien Docket 2, Page 133, the <br />amount originally assessed less 5 per cent with interest at 6 per cent from <br />May 5, 1913. <br /> <br /> The Street Committee recommended that some insurance be placed on the <br /> City property housed in the barn at Second and Lincoln Streets, and were author- <br /> ized to place $3,000.00 lns~vance. <br /> <br /> The following bills were reconmuended for payment by the Finance <br /> Comnittee: <br /> <br />Eugene Woolen Mill Co. <br /> <br />W.
