APlqIL 5, 1915, <br /> <br /> ~otion was made, seconded and carried that the ~inance Co].~ittee be <br />instructed to arrange for the bond of the City Treastu-er. <br /> <br /> At this time Councilman Devereaux was excused from Council meeting. <br /> An Ordinance amending Subdivision 5 of Section 5 of Ordinance <br /> <br />No. 1522, passed by the Comz~o~ Council and approved by the Mayor on the <br />llth day of ~ay, 191~, was read and passed its second and third readings <br />by title under suspension of the rule and was placed upon its final passage. <br />Councilmen votiug aye 6, nay none, absent Nc~urphey and Devereaux. <br />The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered No. 1708. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance providing fo~ fire escapes on certain buildings within <br />the ~ity of Ri[gene, ~epealing Ordinance No. 13~3 and p~oviding perkalties for <br />the violation of this Ordinance was read and passed its second and third <br />readings by title under suspension of the rule and was placed upon its final <br />passage. Councilmen voting ~ye 6, nam none, absent ~{cMu~phey and Devereaux. <br />The Ordl~ance was declared passed and numbered No. 1709. <br /> <br /> The following bills were presented foF payment: <br /> <br />~'red Crosb¥ <br /> <br />Kate St ewa~,t <br /> <br /> GENERAL FUND. <br /> <br />.85 O.M. Wysle <br /> <br />Motion was made and seconded that said bills be allowed and warrants drava% <br />therefor. The ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voting aye Jotn~son, Parks, <br />Bogue, Bell, Beytien and Goodpast~e, nay none, absent ~c~t~phey and Devereaux. <br />~otion was declared carried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> The Sewer Con~ittee by Chairman Bell recommended that the Council <br /> <br />award the contract for the construction of a sewer between 7th and 8th Avenue, s <br />from Van Bu~en Street .to Blair Boulevard to Ole Soleim in accordance with his <br />bid, a~d that all other bids be rejected and checks returned to unsuccessful <br />bidders, and the Mayor and Recorder be instructed to enter into the contract. <br />~.~otion was made, seconded and carried to adopt the recon~endation. <br /> <br /> Reeon~endation of the Pire & Water ~Onu~ittee by Chairman Johnson that <br /> <br />the petition for a street <br />was on motion adopted. <br /> <br />light at Second and Washington Streets be g~anted <br /> <br /> <br />
