APRIL 10, 1916. <br /> <br /> Council Chambers, Elu~ene, Oregon, April 10, 1916. <br /> <br /> Council met in rehaAlar monthly and annual meeting, and was called {o <br />order by ~{ayor Bell. Present Co~mcilmen Parks, Polders, Peterson, Deverea~ <br />Nos~er, Goodpastu~e a~! Quimby; absent Koppe. <br /> <br /> The minutes of'proceedings of March 13th and 20th were read and <br />approved. <br /> <br /> Request of R. B. Henderson to construct a corrugated iron garage at 6th <br />and'Oak Streets, and petition for street light at the intersection of Polk' <br />Street ami Railroad Boulevard were referred to the Fire & Water Committee. <br /> <br /> Reeomm%endation of the Street Committee that the Council decline'to take <br />any steps regarding the re-construction of cement sidewalk as petitioned f6r ~y <br />Olivia Nanerud was on motion adopted. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance authorizing the issuance and sale of Thirty-th~ee thousand <br />($33,000.00) Dollars of improvement bonds of the City of Eugene, Lane County,. <br />0rego~, and directing and advertising the same for sale in accordance with'Chap- <br />ter Five, of Title XXV1, of L~ O. L. of the State of Oregon was read the s~cond <br />and third times and placed upon its final passage. Councilmen voting aye'Parks, <br />Polders, Peterson, Devereaux, Nosher, Goodpasture and Quimby, .nay none, absent <br />Koppe. The Ordinance was declared passed an~ numbered~le~7. <br /> <br /> Report of Building Inspector, W. H. Alexander, for the month of Na~ch' <br />and also his annual report was read and filed. <br /> <br /> Annual report of Wm. Nusbaum, Chief of EUgene Fire Dept., was re~d ~nd <br /> <br />filed. <br /> <br /> At this time Councilman Koppe appeared in Council. <br /> <br /> Annual report of Street Co~uissioner, C. D.
