'179 July 17, 1916. Council Chambers, Eugene, Oregon, July 17, 1916. Council met pursuant to adjourmnent of July 10th, and was called'to order by ~(ayor Bell. Present Councilmen Polders, Peterson, Koppe, Mosl~er, Quimby and G. oodPasture; absent Parks and Deverem~x. Communication from~ F. D. Chambers relating to flooding of property east of Willamette Street between 15th and 17ti~ Streets was referred to the Street Conu~.ittee. Communication from the Linde Air Products Co. asking the return of cylinder loaned in connection with the pulmotor turned over to the City by the Oregon P~er Co. or payment of the value thereof, $22.50, was referred to the I~ire & W~ter Cm.~mittee. Request of Henry W. Stewart ~nd Enu~:.% D. Hardy for permission to con- struet brick veneer front on proposed building on Willamette Street between loth and llth Avenues was referred to the Judiciary Com~..ittee and City Attorney to enlarge scope of building Ordinance to include such construction. Report of the Building Inspector for the month of June was read and filed. Report of the Street Committee recommending that the petition for paving Alder and Putnam Streets be denied. Motion was made and seconded that the report be adopted. Motion was made, seconded and carried that further eon- sideration of the report be had at the ~next meeting of the Council. At this time Councilman Parks appeared in Council.
