Motion was made, seconded <br /> <br />and carried to adopt the Resolution. <br /> <br />An Ordinance providing for the construction ar~! erection of an ornamen- <br /> <br />street lighting system on both sides of ¥~i.ll~mette Street between the <br /> <br />South line of Eleventh Avenue and the North line of Thirteenth Avenue in the <br /> <br />City of n-k~ene, and to assess the cost thereof against the property abutting <br />said street between said points was read, and a Resolution was read providing <br />that said Ordinance be considered by the Council on the 26th day of April, <br /> <br />1915, and directing the Recorder to give notice thereof. Motion was made, <br /> <br />seconded and carried to adopt the Resolution. <br /> <br />At this time Mayor Yoran delivered his farewell address to the <br /> <br />Conncil, and the same was placed on file. <br /> <br />~yor elect W. A. Bell was then duly ~orn as Mayor of the City; Ex-Hayor <br />Yoran retirinj~, and Mayor Bell ass~aing charge of the meeting and read his <br />inaugu~al message to the Council. <br /> <br /> At this time a protest of E. E. Quimby against the seating of Councilman <br />elect C. A. Burden was presented to the Council. City Attorney ~oster <br /> <br />advised that the finding of the Canvasstng Board and the issuance by the <br /> <br />Recorder of a certificate of election to ~. Burden established a prima facie <br /> <br />right to seat the Councilman elect, and that in his opinion there was nothing <br /> <br />to prevent the swearing in of ~Av. Burden as Councilman. <br /> <br /> C. 0 Peterson, S. R. Mosher <br /> At this time ~ouneilm~n elect W. Polders, . <br /> <br />and C. A. Burden, and Treasurer elect F. G. Stlekels were each duly sworn <br />to perform the duties of his office, and the Councilmen took their seat in <br />Council. <br /> <br /> Mayor Bell made the following Co~alttee appointments: <br /> <br />~ire & Water ...................
