P~esent Counoilmen Folders, Parks, Koppe, l,{osher, Deverea~, <br />Quimby and Oood~st~e; absent Peterson. <br /> <br />197 <br /> <br />Minutes of Council proceedings under dates of September llth, 18th <br /> <br />and October 2~! were read and approved. <br /> <br />Report of the Building Inspector for'the month of September'was read <br /> <br />and filed. <br /> <br /> A Resolution directing the City Recorder to publish a notice for the <br /> <br />Council to property owners of the proposed assessment for ornamental <br /> <br />lights on Eighth Avenue from Vfilla~uette Street to Pearl Street was read, and' <br /> <br />on motion adopted. <br /> <br /> A Resolution directing tge City Recorder to publish a notice for the <br /> <br />Co~aon Council to property owners of the proposed assessment for ornamental <br />l~ts on Seventh Avenue from Olive Street to High Street was read, and on <br /> <br />motion adopted. <br /> <br /> The Street Committee recommended that W. H. Albro be placed on the p~y <br />roll at $60.00 per month,,payable out of the Road & Street Fund. Motion was <br />made and seconded that the reco~aendation be adopted, and the Recorder instruct- <br />ed to draw warrant's in payment of his salary at the time regular monthly salary <br />warrants are drawn. The ayes and nays were called; Councilmen voting aye V, <br />nay none, absent Peterson. Motion was declared ca'vied ~nd so ordered. <br /> <br /> Bids for the construction of a sewer between Washington and Jefferson <br /> <br />Streets from 1Wth Avenue to manhole on Washington Street between 12th and 13th <br /> <br />Avenues were opened and read, and a motion w~s made that the Council finds and <br />determines that the bid of K. h. }{all is the lowest and best bid for the con- <br /> <br />struction of said sewer, and that the Council award the contract to him in <br /> <br />accordance with his bid, and that the Mayor and Recorder execute the same, and <br /> <br />that cheeks be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Motion was seconded and <br /> <br />c~rried. <br /> <br /> The following bills were presente~ for payment: <br /> <br /> <br />
