An Ordinance providing for the con- <br />struotion of a cement sidewalk abutting the property described in Section Ohe <br />of this Ordinance, said property being in the City of Eugene was read and <br />passed its second and third readings by title under'suspension of the rule <br />and was placed upon its final ~passage. Councilmen voting aye'5, nay none, <br />absent Parks and Devereaux. The G~dinance was declared passed and m~bered <br /> <br />On motion the Council adjourned. <br /> <br /> MAY 13, lglS. <br /> <br />Council Ctlambers, Eugene,' Or'egon, May 13, 1918. <br />eo%u%cil met in rega~lar monthly session, and was called to order by <br />Mayor Peterson. Present Councilmen Parks, Spencer, Mosher, Goodpasture and <br />Spangler; absent Polders and Devereaux. <br /> <br /> Coun~.ilman elect, ~. B. Willoughby, took his oath of office, and <br /> <br />was seated in the Council as a Councilman for the Second Ward. <br /> <br /> ~e minutes of Council proceedings under dates of April 8th and <br /> <br />22{1d were read and approved. <br /> <br /> The Street Conu~ittee repo',ted that they had sold an old City sprinkler <br />to Hall & Soleim for $150.00, of which $50.00 has been paid in, and the <br />balance of $100.00 to be paid on the 10th to 15th of June. Motion was <br /> <br />aade, seconded and carried to ratify the action of the Con%mittee. <br /> At this time Councilman Polders appeared in Council. <br /> The following Resolution was read: <br /> <br /> "BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COI~ON COUNCIL OM THE CI'i"f OF EUGENE that from <br />and after May 1, lglS, the salary of the Chief of Police be and the same is <br />hereby fixed at the sum of One Hundred Dollars per month, and the salary of <br />%he policemen in the city be and the same is hereby fixed in tile sum of <br />Eighty-five Dollars per month, each, and the salary of the Advisory Matron <br /> <br /> <br />
