1915. <br /> <br /> Council Chambers, Eugene, Oregon, ~,.{ay 11, 1915. <br /> <br /> Council met p%u-suant to adJ°urru?~ent of May 10th, and was called <br /> <br />to order by ~.(~yor Bell. Present Councilmen Parks, Polders, Bo~%e, Peterson, <br />Deverea%~x, Goodpastu~e and Quimby; absent ~..{osher. <br /> <br /> Councilman Goodpasture, Chairman of the Street Coml~ittee, reported <br /> that tt~e Committee had examined the bids for the paving of Sixth Avenue West <br /> from Olive Street to Blair Boulevard, and in accordance with the findings of the <br /> eonu~.lttee moved that the Council now finds and determines that the bid of the <br /> ~laPk & ]{enery Construction Co. for the paving of said Street is the lowest <br /> ~nd best bid, and that the cont,.act be awarded to them in accordance with <br /> their bid, ~r~ that all other- bids be rejected and chec~<s ret%~.ned to unsuccess- <br /> <br />,ful bidders, and that the ~yo~ and Recorder be autho~-ized to enter into the <br /> contract, the Mayor to approve the bond of said Clark & Henery Construction <br /> Co. for said work. l~(otion was seconded and c~rried. <br /> <br /> The Recorder was instructed to give the '¢~ter Board form~%l notice <br /> <br /> of the passage of 0rdin~nees for orn~%mental street lights on Willamette St~.eet. <br /> <br /> The Recorder was also instructed to advertise in a daily newspaper <br /> <br /> for bids for the'ptu'chase of the p~-esent City H~ll Site property. <br /> <br /> Motion was mzde, seconded and carried that the 0~.dinance fop the <br /> paving of Alder Street from Thirteenth Avenue South to the City Limits be <br /> amended by oh~ging the thickness of the concrete base to read 5 inches in <br /> place of 6 inches. <br /> <br /> The consideration of changing the form of requisitions w~s referred <br /> to the Printing Committee ~nd Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> Motion was made, seconded and carried that the Council adj0tu'n to <br /> <br /> meet May 2W, 1915, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. <br /> <br /> <br />
