Present Councilmen P~rks, Polders, Peterson, <br /> Deverea~, ~..{osher, Goodp~st~e ~nd Quimby. <br /> <br /> An O~dinance vao~ting ee~tsin p~rts of Agate Street in %he City of <br /> ~gene ~nd dete~mini~ the boundaries of said street was read the third <br /> time and placed upon its final passgge. ¢o~eilmen voting aye <br /> Devereaux, l,(osher ~nd Qui~by, ney Polders, Peterson and Goodpast~e.' <br /> The Ordina. nee was declared passed ~nd n~unbered #1752. <br /> <br /> Co~ei~an Deverea~ moved that the Engineer prepare a pl~t of Agate <br /> Street, establishing the g~ade, sidewalk ~nd o~b lines. The motion was <br /> ~ften~¢rds withdPav~ and Z~{¢yo~ Bell referred this m~tter to the Stz, eet <br /> Co:~ni tte e. <br /> <br /> Counoilm~n Deverea~ moved that the election of ~' Counoilmsn to fill <br />the vacancy in the Second Ward be deferred until the m~tte~ of Agate Avenue <br />is disposed of. ~.~¢yor Bell ~uled the motion out of order. Council,.an <br />~eterson placed the ns~e of }{e~-y }{ollenbeok in nomination for the Office <br />Councilman, and no other nominations being msde same was declared closed, <br />~nd the eyes ~nd n~ys were oslled on the election of 1~., Hollenbeek. <br />Co~eilz~en voti~ ~ye Polders, Pete~son and Goodpasture, n~y Farks, Devereaux, <br />Hosher and Quimby.' The Ngyor declared no election, and no~inations were <br />again opened, ~nd Nr. O. E. Sh~wgy was noggin&ted as Councilman. Th~e <br />being no further nominations, nominations were declared closed and the eyes <br />8nd nays were called. Coun,eilmen voting ~ye Farks, Deverea~, ~.(osher 6nd <br />Quimby, n~y Polders, Feterson and Goodpasture. ~r. Sh~y was deelsred <br />elected. <br /> <br /> Bill of C. B. Hamble for ¢15.50 as care tender to the Fark was presented, <br />and ~ motion was made and seconded to psy the s~.e fro~ the P~rk <br /> <br />The eyes and ngys were called; Co,ellen voting ~ye 7, ney none. Notion was <br />declared c~rried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> The Street Co~¢2nittee by ~itten report recommended the g~anti~ of the <br />first petition filed for the improvement of Alder Street with 5 inch concrete <br />base and 2 inch ~avel bitulithic wearing surface. The report was on ~notion <br />adopted. <br /> <br /> An O~,dInanee to improve ~deP Street from 13th Avenue South to the <br /> <br />City Limits was read the third time and placed upon its final passage. <br /> <br /> <br />
