JULY 13,~1915. Council Chambers, ~ene, Oregon, July 13, 1915. Council met pursuant to adjournment of July 12th, and was called to order by ~ayor'Bell. Present Councilmen Parks, Polders, Devereaux, Nosher and Quimby, absent Councilmen Peterson and Goodpasture. Written report of the Street Com~ittee was read reco~:~ending that the bid of the Olark& Henery Construction Co. was the lowest and best bid for the paving of Lincoln Street from the North side of Fourth Avenue to the North side of Third Avenue, and that the contract be let to said Company, and that the Mayor and Recorder be instructed to enter into a contract with said Company in accordance with ti~e Ordinances. Eotion was made, seeo~%ed and carried to adopt the recommendation. On motion the consideration of the bids for the paving of the alley between Oharnelton and Lincoln Streets from Eleventh to ~\velfth Avenues was continued for consideration until the next meeting of the Council.~ Councilmen Parks, Chairman of the SeweP Co~littee, recon~%ended that the contracts fop the construction of a sewer on La~ence Street from Second Avenue to the alley West of Second Street, and for the construction of a sewer in the alley between Ninth and Tenth Avenues from a point opposite Lot 5, Block l, Wallis-Dor~is Addition to Polk Street be awarded to the American Paving Co. Notion was made, seconded and carried to adopt the report. Motion was made, seconded and carried that the Council adjourn to meet Monday July 26, 1915, at 7:30 o'clock P. City Recorder.
