The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered #1795. <br /> <br /> An 0rdinanee levying assessments for the construction of a sewer in the <br />alley between 7th and 8th Avenues from manhole east of Monroe Street to <br />easterly line of Blair Boulevard was read the first time and laid over. <br /> <br /> Report of the Sewer Co~.~ittee recommending settlement of the suit of <br />the City against /.~attie J. Sheridan on account of sewer assessments by a eom- <br />promise providing for the property owners to pay 66 2/3 per cent of the entire <br />assessment and interest from the date of assessment, the City to take care of <br />the balance out of the Trunk Sewer or General Sewer Fund was read, and a motion <br />was made, seconded and carried to adopt the report of the Co~m~ittee. <br /> <br /> A Resolution providing for giving notice to property owners of the con- <br />sideration of proposed assessment for the cost of ornamental lighting system <br />upon Eighth AVenue V;est from Willamette Street to Lincoln Street, and fixing <br />October ll, 1915, at 7:30 o'clock P. ~. as the time for consideration of said <br />assessment and objection, if any thereto, was read, and a motion was made, <br />seconded and carried to adopt the Resolution. <br /> <br /> A Resolution providing for giving notice to property owners of the <br />consideration of proposed assessment for the cos% of ornamental lighting system <br />upon Olive Street from Fifth Avenue to Ninth Avenue, and fixing October ll, <br />1915, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. as the time for consideration of said assessment <br />and objections, if any thereto, was read, and a motion was made, seconded and <br />carried to adopt the Resolution. <br /> <br /> Bids for the p~ving of the alley between Eighth and Ninth Avenues <br /> <br />from Olive Street to Charnelton Street were opened and read; two bids being <br />submitted by the Clark & I{enery Construction Co., and upon motion said bids <br />were referred to the Street Co~_~ittee for consideration to be reported to the <br />Council on October ~th. <br /> <br /> I~. Teller, in behalf of the Clark & I{enery Construction Co., requested <br />an extension of thirty days' time for tt~e completion of Alder Street from <br />Thirteenth Avenue south to City Limits. Motion was made, seconded and carried <br />to &r~ant the extension requested. <br /> <br /> Councilman Peterson reconu.~ended that the City make a flat offer of <br />~350.00 to the No~t Fire Engine Co. to 'cover the ihstalling of a starter ih <br />the old fire engine and the cost of sending a man out to put the engine in <br /> <br />SEPT~BER 27, 191~. <br /> <br /> <br />
