<br /> Mr. M. Coffee appee.~ed before the Council stating., that he was the owner of the
<br /> property .described in .sidewalk. construction Ordinance N~.263~ .~_d-that Mercer& Igoe
<br /> h~d constructed a portion of the walk.provided for by said ordinance smd requested
<br /> that he be pex~nitt~d t~ sign a waiver and tha-b'the balance of the walk be-constructed
<br /> and '~s'essed. The matter was referred to the City. Attor~tey for consideration.
<br /> December 12, 1921, Mrs. Alma Cannon ,appeared before the Council asking that con7
<br /> struetIon of sidewalks as provided by Ordinances No. 2732 an~ No. '2733'be posponed
<br /> ~a~d. ss~ne having been referred to the Street committee, the street committee reported
<br /> that said walks should be constructed Without delay and upon motion the walks were
<br /> ordered constructed. '
<br /> Mr. J. M. Martin, October 10, 1921, presented a claim for alleged injuries on
<br /> a side~alk In ~ai~uount Xn ~gene and for loss of time and same having been referred
<br /> to the Judiciary Committee and City Attorney, the-matter was called up .at this.time
<br /> and passed over until next meeting.
<br /> The City Recorder was upon motion instr~oted'to write a letter to the Pacific
<br /> Telegraph and Telephone Company for an additional telephone.without charge ill excess
<br /> of seven telephones provided for in their f.~snchlse; this telephone to be an exten-
<br /> sion for use~ in the fire department of the City of Eagene.
<br /> : Attorney C. A. Wintermeler presented a written statement representing that by
<br />Ordinance No. 1509 of'~ge~e, Oregon, there was entered on page 61 and 64 of Vol. 3
<br />of the Loin Docket of the City of Eugene, .Bale County., Ore,on, a lien for the improv
<br />-sent of Alder Street "agai.st the prOperty owned, by ~als Furuset and that on the 3rd
<br />day of July 1915 said owner and his wife' convey~d 'said premises unto Marie Aab¥ the
<br />owner represented herein end tenders with such statement a cashiers Check Nc. lB010
<br />o~ the ~"trst National B~k of Eugene, Oregon, in the sum of $ 08.76 in full payment
<br />of said lien with the understanding that thereafter it ~ppears through a decision of
