Stewart appeared before the Couacll with petitions asking for the <br />initiating ~f an 0rdlae~ce by election for the Sunday 0peniag 9f certain pl~ce~ of <br />business and asking that certain plea.sures may be permitt~ on Sunday, as is call~ <br />f~r In said proposed Ordinance. The petitions were duly filed with the ~ecorder. <br /> <br /> E~ta S. Knight and husb~d appeared before the co~cil and. p~o~ est ed ~al2st. <br />the enactment of an'm~sessment 0rdla~ce against the North h~lf of Lot 4, Block <br />15, of Gross~ ~ditlon te the City as being unjust, and asking for a reduction cf <br />the ~ount. Such request was un~lmously de, led. Such 0rdln~ce was again pre- <br />sent~ and re~ the second t~e ~d pas~ed the third and flnal re,lng by title by <br />· un~lmo~:s consent ~mder suspension of the rules and was placed on its final pass~Ze <br />The ay'es and ~ays were call~l. The bid <br />of the ~g~e Sand and Gravel Co. for $1057.80 a~d of ~ C. Nathews f~r $974.72 <br />were received and the s~e were referred to the Street ~o~lttee and the City ~ - <br />glneer fur an l~edlate re~ort. Said committee ~d Engineer reported and reeo~end <br />ed the bid of A C Nathews at $974,7~ be ~eept~. The roll being c~led, those <br /> <br />voting aye, Nosher, MoALlster, Walker, and Wtlliamsom.
