is as follow,~; , <br /> <br /> TO TI~E ~0!~ON COT~C[L 07 THE CITY 0~' <br /> <br /> Your committee, to whom was ~eferred the Inltatlve Petitions, asking for <br />an 0rdlnanee governing certain Sunday Amusements Within 'the City, and rep-~aling <br />certain 0rdlnan~es now in force in said City relative to Sunday~ Amusements, and <br />commonly .known ,as the "Open Sunday Law, ~ begs to report and <br /> <br /> That the petitions have been caref~lly checked as to the' sufficiency of <br />nsz~es by the "Ministerial Asso~la'tlon" of M~gene, which repo.~ted to the ~eco~der <br />that there wer. e~sufficlcnt number of names to war,ant.the pla~ing of said imitative <br />Ordinance on the ballot to be vote.d .on by thepeop.~e. <br /> <br /> That the City R~order took up the matter of t.he date of sa election with <br />Geo. E. 8towart, the p~rson who filed said petitions, sad it was agreed that. th~ <br /> <br />date of the next ~nsuing State-wide Prima~y election would be .agrees~ble to the <br />signers of such petitions as t/se d at.~ for. such election. <br /> <br /> Your committee, therefore, recommends that m~ch pet%tion be accepted, and <br />submitted to the people for a vot~ t~ereon, and 'that an election be called fpr <br /> <br />,Trl,tay May 16th, 1924, as the da.te tO determine such issue. <br /> <br /> Respectfully Submitted. · <br /> Carl G Washubrne, <br /> ' Dean H, Walker <br /> S R Mosher. <br /> <br /> On motion the following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br /> <br /> Moved that the Mayor and Meeorder of the City be authorized ~d empowered <br />to m~e ~d enter into a contract with the Mountain States Power C.~F~.y, for a <br /> <br />consideration of $100.00, to allow it to extend and maintain a six inch pipe thru <br /> <br />the apertures prepared for that purpose in the a.butment~ and center girder of the <br />city's concrete b~idge across the "Mill-race" on ~ranklln Boulevard, between ninth <br />and Fleventh Avem~es East in the City, for s;~d during the t~r[~ of s~ld C?~?any's. <br />existing Franchise, said Mountain ~ta$~es Power.
