Council Cha~lbers, Eugene', Oregon. Pebrumry, 13th, ~924. Council met pursuant to adjourmuent of meeting of 7eb. 11, 1924. Present Mayor E.B. Parks and Councilmen McAlister, Monroe, simmons, Williamson and Wallace. Ab- sent Councilmen Walker and Washburne. Meeting called to ,)rder by Ma.yet E. B. Parks at 7:30 o'olpck PoN. ~-'- S. D. ~{u~ter appeared before the Council a~klng for an extension of time in which to build his sidewalk.in front of Lot 2, 'Block 13, on~ Villard St, On motion an extension.of thne of~30 days was granted. ' Ro.wling Bros., by Chief of Police Judkins asked Permlsslo~ to erect a small frame building about 7x10 feet in si~e within the Fire Limits and at 9th and OLive Street. On.motion s~id petition wa~ rejected.' ' The report of the Committee on the petltlo~ of F. D. Chambers to dedicate an alley 14 feet wide through certain pr,~perty o'.ruled by him which petition wes filed N~v. 26th, 1923, wa~, on motion, rejected for the present. The i~ire and Water Committee having reported fawsrably o~ the s~e, a street light was ordered installed at the ',Y".erossing of the S..P.M.~. Co., at the City L1o~lts on the "~mira Ro~." · The ~'lre and Water Committee to whom was referred the matter of the application to repair the Warnoek Block recently destroyed by fire reported favorably ~n such application and r~oo~ended such pe~it be granted, requiring the ~Wffp~ to b,~ild a fire.wall.at the rear of ~aid bloqk ~d the he be not required, to r~butld the front of said bleak which was not b~ly d~ed. 0a motion said repo~t was ~opted.
