That the Common Council of the City of ~gene is hePeby authorized and empo~'ered to l~s{~e amd sell negotiable bonds ,of the city to the amount of 'P~.ent¥-five Thousand (2.5,000) Dol~arsyer so muoh thereof as m~ be neeessarysfo~ the put'pose of pul'chasing new fire apparatus for the city; Section 2. The bonds hereby authorized shall be denominated "Fire '~paratus ~onds.a Them shall be a general obligation of the City of ~Ageme,' ~d sh~l be in such fo~ and of such demomiaattons as will, ~m the judgment of the Cor~o~ Council, be most likely te conduce to their salability. They shall be m~e due ~d p~albe in'2O years .from the date of their issuance, ~d bear interest at the r~h;~c~ mot to exceed 5,per cent per ~m,~, P~ab~e semi~mually. SectiOn ~. The Cm~om Council of the City of ~g~e is'hereby authorized to include im its general municipal t~ levy each year ~ufflole~t special levy to p~ thor lm~erest om the bonds ~d provide a sinking fund for the p~ment of th~, when du~.
