The ayes and nays were called, all <br />present voting aye. Nay none. The Ordinance was declar~ed passed andnumb er ed 4336. <br /> <br />, An Ordinance approving and adopting the plans and specifications of the City <br />Engineer for the improvement of the alley between Wlllanette and Olive Streets from <br /> <br />4th to 14th Avenues by re-constructing a ~ewer therein wa~ read the first tlme <br /> <br />passed its second and third, readings b~: title by unanimous consent under suspension <br />of-the rule and was ptaced on its final ps, sage. The ayes and nays were ealled~ <br />all present voting aye., Nay none. The Ordinate was dec~ared passed ~daumbere4 <br /> <br />4337. <br /> <br />' The following 'sidewalk improvement Ordinances were read the first time and <br /> <br />passed their second and third res~llng~ by title byunanlmous consent under suspenslor <br /> <br />of the rule and were placed on their final passage. The ayes an,1 nays were called, <br /> <br />all present voting ~e. Nay none. The Ordinances were declared passed and <br /> <br />numbered as to owner and ordinance numbers: <br /> Edith Prescott 4331 <br /> Adel aide CMiroh 4332. <br /> University of Ore. 4333 <br /> <br /> The Matter of the Purchase of an auto for the use-of the City Engineer was <br />discussed and referred to the Road and Street Committee to report at the next <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> ~everal bond salesmen ~ap~eared before the council relative to the sale of the <br /> <br />Auditorium bonds are particularly as to said bonds being dated January .1, 1925, or <br />five months ahead. After d~scussion, it was moved that the sale of the' Auditorium <br />bond.s be deferred from the advertised sale set for ~[gust 6, 1924, On. vote being <br />taken Monroe, Slmmong. ud'Wllliamsen voted.aye. Walker sad Washburne voted nay. The <br />motion was declared carried. <br /> <br /> On request of the City Fngiaeer, who stated it is in the way of Street improve- <br />ment, the college monument at Olive and 19th Avernes was ordered moved a few feet te <br />one side and re-set. . <br /> <br /> The City Engineer reported the present curb from 18th to 19th. Avenues on Ollv'e <br /> condition <br />in bad/and not in ~onformit¥ to the' grade set for the paving of said street. On <br /> <br />motlo~, it was tattled that a new curb b · constructed at such place end assessed <br /> <br />with the street Improvements. <br /> <br /> The Ol~t~ ~hglneer recommended that the sea, es lm front of the Warncck Building <br />and ether s~cales on the streets of the. city be moved° The Ma2$~ agreed to inter- <br />view Warncc~ ~nd see if such scales cannot be ~emo,ved at once: <br /> <br /> <br />
