Mayor and Common Council of the City of Eugene~ <br /> <br />The undersigned petitioners, C.0. :Petorscn, J N MCKy and Will. l~n T. Culver <br /> <br /> represent and show as follows: <br /> <br /> That early in the year 1924, C.0~ Paterson, one of the undersigned peti~ <br /> tloners and J R ~cKy and William T. Culver, undersigned petitioners, and duly con- <br /> stituted officers representing the City of Eugene entered into certain verbal agree <br /> merits arising out of the des. ire .and~roposal of the.City of E~gene to deflect and <br /> change the course of High St'feet~ so as to connect t'he same with .the Municipal. Auto- <br /> mobile Park located between the Willamette ~lver and Sklnner's BUtte; that the <br /> proposed change involved the turning' of the course of High Street ia a northwest- <br /> erly direction on a curve at about the southeast corner of lot 4 in block l, in <br /> Eugene City as originally platted by E.F. Skinner in Lane County, Oregon, ~ow a <br /> part of the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, and running thence on a 9~eve <br /> <br />across a part of lot ~, in said block 1, and thence continuing on a curve to a <br />.point o lot I in said block 1 and thence continuing on a straight line in a north- <br /> <br />westerly direction across the remainder of said lot 1 and across First Avenue and <br />thence onw.ard to the aforesaid Municipal Automobile Park; that it was agreed by and <br /> <br />between the Parties above mentioned, among other things (1) that all that part of <br /> <br />High Street which is hereinafter particularly described should be vacated, (2) that <br /> <br />the following described portion of First Avenue East; <br /> <br />Baglnnlng at the intersection of the South <br />line of First Avenue East with the West line <br />of High Street as~[atted and recorded in the <br />original plat of the City of E~gene, Oregon, <br />and ru~ning thence West along the South m~rgin <br />of said First Avenue East 75.92 feet; thence <br />North 60e~0~ West 157 feet more or less te <br />the North lime of said First Avenue East, <br />thence East. along the North lime of said Fl~t <br />Avenue East ~95 feet to the said We~t ~ine of <br />H1gh Street, theacb South ~.~eet to the place <br />of beginning. <br /> <br />should be vacated, and (3) that the whole of the alley which extended North and <br /> <br />South through fractional block B in Eugene City as originally platted by <br /> <br />Skinner in Lane County, Oregon, now a part of~ the City of Eugene, Lame County, Ore- <br />gon, .~, should be vacated; that it was further agreed by the above mentioned - <br /> <br />parties, among other thlngs, that R J McKy and William T.
