<br /> ~ESOLVED: That the' Common. council 'of the City of EUgene, Oregon, deems it
<br />expedient and necessary to open, lay out and establish Tyler Street from
<br />Seventh Avenue' to Ninth Ave~e, and that the City Fngineer be and is directed to
<br />make a survey of the same, to mark the boundaries thereof,~ to make a p~t
<br />thereof, a. ndmake and file a written report containing a full and complete des-
<br />cription of such street and its boundaries, and of the p,~rtlons of each lot,
<br />part of lots or track of land to beeappropriated therefor.

<br /> The road and street cou~ittee reported that the amount of ~$0.00 subscribd
<br />by residents outside of the city had been paid toward, the opening and extension
<br />of 18th Avenue w. frown Jefferson St. to the City Limits and tee0 _mmended that
<br />WILL'ams C. 'Lyons. be paid the amo. unt awarded him by the viewers ,~f $350.00 as
<br />the amount of his damages and the $50 ~ssessed to him as a benefit be deduct~.d
<br />from tho amount of his damages and a warrant of $300 be sent him in full p~Y~
<br />ment and the treasurer be directed to cancel of record the as:~es.~ment ef $50
<br />on the Lien Docket, against She property of said Lyons as a benefit to said
<br />property. On motion such report was ~dopted.

<br />Be it Resolved by the Com~uon council of the City of ~gene, Oregon, that there
<br />be submitted to the electors of the city, for their approval or rejection, at
<br />
<br />the next general election to be held in the city on tDe ~%h day of November,
<br />
<br />1924, the annexed proposed amendment, entitled, "An act to ~nend the charter of
<br />the City of eugene, Oregon, by adding a new chapter thor ets authorizing and
<br />
<br />empowering the Common Council of the city to issue and sell negotiable bonds
<br />of the city to the amount of Thirty Thousand Do!l~r~, or so much ~hereof as
<br />
<br />may be necessary for the purpose of remodeling the city ha~l.
<br />
<br /> Th,e foregoing resolutio~ and proposed amendment were filed in the office
