Chairman Simmons of the Fire and Water ~ommittee recommended the petition for <br />a street light at the intersectionof the alleys in the Armory Block be granted. <br />On motion such ~eport'was atepted: <br /> <br /> Officers of the D~gene Federation of Woments Organization appe,ared <br />· presented a resolution, adopted by such.organization, lookh~g to the adoption <br /> of a planning.system for the City. and presented a ten'tatlve ordinance for the <br /> CounOilts guidance, such proposed, ordinance was read the first time and laid <br /> over. . <br /> <br /> , The New State Law pertaining to the government of the Auto Camps was <br />referred to and on motion, it was ordered that' $10.00 be sent tothe State <br />Board of Health to pay the license fee for the Clty's.~(unlolpal Auto Camp. <br /> <br /> Col. White appeared relative to having the Snapp Bros. Shows here on a <br />split basis with the Nalitia,Co. and asked fo~ a reduction of the license <br />fees. No action w~s taken. <br /> <br />Daisy D. Patterson Presented a Petition asking that sh~ be released as to <br />the city assessment on certain PrOPerty owned by her onpayment of $12.52. Such <br />m&tter was referred to the City Engineer and the City Treasurer. , <br /> <br />The following resolution was offered and unanimously adopted~ <br /> <br /> ,RES0 LUTION. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a~, ,,ecent meetings of the Common Co,unoil of the City, several <br />sidewalks wereordered in by Ordinances duly passed and~numbered and . , <br /> <br /> WHFREAJ, due notices~ave been sent to the property owners ordering such <br />walks to be. constructed and return of service therein has duly been made and <br />filed and the statutory time in each case in which to construct such walks <br />has expired and said wa. lks have not been so constructed. <br /> <br /> NOW, THERE~0RE, B~ IT RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> Tha~ the City ~eco'rder be ln'struoted to advertise 'for bids for the con- <br />struc~ion of such walks', all to 'be let lu one contract 'i]1 like' manner as Street <br />improvements are let, <br /> <br /> MoO. Bessonette appeared and asked that sidewalks be built on the West <br />sideof Jefferson Street from 13th Avenue to 19th AvenUe. He was informed that <br />said matter would be attended to. <br /> <br /> The viewers duly appointed to appralse the benefits and damages accruing <br />on account of the opening of l~th Avenue from Lawrence Street West one-half <br />block presented their report which was read and duly considered by the Co,.mcll. <br />On motion such report was ~manimousl¥ 'adopted. <br /> <br /> The viewers duly appointed to appraise the benefits and damages accruing <br />on account of the opening of Tyler Street from Fifth Avenue to Sixth Avenue <br />presented their report which was read and duly considered by the Co~mcll. On <br />motion such report was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> The viewers duly appointed to appraise the benefits and damages accru- <br />ing on ac~.ount of the opening and extens'loh of Tenth Avenue from Polk Street to <br />Chambers Street Presented their report which was read and duly considered by the <br />Co:~,.cil. On mOtion such rePort was hnanlmously adopted. <br /> <br /> The Viewers duly appointed to appraise the benefits and damages accruing <br />on account of the opening and extension of 'lSth A~6enue from Jefferson Street <br />to Madison Street present~t their report which was read and un'ani~ously adopted. <br /> <br /> The Matter of the emPloyment bureau was further taken up and discussed as <br />to the advlslblllty o'f paying monthly toward the up keep of such bureau. On <br />motion such matter was laid on the t'able. <br /> <br /> This being the time as advertised for the re-sale of the $1~,698.78 Series <br />"X" Improvement Bonds of the City and there being no bi~ders preseut the bid <br />of Peirce Fair & Co. of Portlamd,~ OregOn, as filed in the office of 'the City <br />Recorder, at Par and $101.41 and accrued in~erest and bearlng interest at 5% <br />was accepted, and the Ma~or and City Recorder were unanimousl¥instructe~l to pre- <br />pare and execute Bonds on behalf of the City te close such contract of sale. <br /> <br />'An Ordinance adootinz and aovrovinm T~ff~s o}a~ as an A~difiton ~a th. <br /> <br /> <br />
