THE CITY 0~ ~G~E D0~ 0~DAIN ~ POLLOWSL BE [T ~ACT~ TY THE ~ECT0~S 0F THE CITY SEction 1: That the C~or~oN Council of. the City o2 D~gene is hereby author- izod and empowered to issue and sell negotiable bonds of the city to the ~ount of Thirty Thousand Dollars, or s,~ much thereof as may be necessary for the construction of reservoirs, feeder mains and extensions for the water system of said city. Section 2: The b,~nds hereby authorized shall b~ denominated WATE~ T~SION BON~S 1926, ANd shall be la such form and of such denominations as will, in the ,judgment of the Co:~on Couuoll, be most likely to conduce to their salability. They shall be made due and payable In thirty years from th~ date ,)f their issuance, and ~bal% bear luterest at a rate not to exceed five per cent per annum, interest payable semi- annua[ly. Section 4: Said bonds shall be a general obl~atlon of the City of ~gene, payable out of the revenues of the water pl~t of said city, and the Co.on Council of the City of ~gene is hereby autho~'lzed to include In its general muni- cipal t~ levy each year such suffiol~nt special levy as shall aggregate an amount sufficient to pay the interest on the bonds and p~',)vlde a sinking fund for the pa~- merit of the bonds when due.
