The following resolution wes offered and unanimously adopted.

<br /> Whereas heretofore the City Counell of the City of Eugene has.undertaken
<br />and carried out a ~)r~Ject f~r excavating a ditch through certain portions of the
<br />City ,~f Eugene known as the Amazon Slough District, and wh~'reas the City was in-
<br />duced to make certain improvements by reason of certain representations, amgng which
<br />was one by Carl ,% Washburne an4 George H. McMorran to the effect that if the City
<br />~oul~ carry out said improvement project upon the plan outlined by the City ~gineer ,
<br />that they o~their successors la interest would pay to the City ~1000 toward the
<br />of such project upon the express conditions that the City would, at a later time,
<br />create a drainage district and amplify th~ worl< that had been done and assess the
<br />costs against the property embraced In the drainage district, and that at ~uch
<br />the :~1000 so pall by Carl ~}. Washbu~ne and ]eorge H. McMorran shall be deemed assess~
<br />and paid on ~'uch project and a credit of ~1000 shallbe made upon the charge assessed
<br />to the ~ald Carl G. Washburae and George H. McMo~ran or their successors In interest.

<br />their hollilngs to C.L. Teshner, under an agreement that the buyer and seller shall~
<br />each pay :~50.3 on such conr?ibution toward said ditch, and t?~t the ;~1000 thus pal'l
<br />ishall be a credit on the property of C.L. Teshner, tt being understood that such
<br />tproperty shall receive the en~lz~ c~'edit of such payment.
