Whereas, at an election held in the Olty o~ Eugene, August 18th, 1925, there

<br /> ~ ~ easements and licenses, to be used for municipal ~allw~
<br /> .... terminals, municipal belt line railro~, municipal park
<br /> and~any o~hermunlelpal purposes, and to issue and sell the
<br /> . ~. negotiable bonds of sald e lty In the sum of one hundred
<br /> .. a~d ~eve~$k five .thousand dollars or so ~h thereof as
<br /> shsll be necessary, for such put,sea, a~ to expend the
<br /> proceeds l~payment therefor. -

<br /> An'd Whereas, p~rsuant to sue]~ authorization,, the City of. E~gene, has ac-,
<br />quired the laud described in Exhibit A., attached hereto,

<br /> And Whereas,. the Common CounCil deems itnec..essary in order that the City of
<br />Eugene may~ reap the greatest ultimate bone. fi% from the aforesaid purchase, and
<br />as an act .of Com~n,~n Justice to the City of Springfield, that the tract be main-
<br />tained amd kept intact for future uses andpurposes, and that in the meantime that
<br />it be applied to such uses and purposes as shall further the in'lerests and pro-
<br />mote the economic, and e§thetl~ progress cf the general community composed of the
<br />cities of Springfield and EUgene, t'here~ore,

<br /> · . -BE IT RE~oLV~ BY THE CITY OF EUGENE, through its Common Council, that the
<br />Mayor amd~Olt¥~' Re.~brder cf' the City of ~gene be and they- are hereby directed· to
<br />enter l~to a leaSe for forty nine years at a nominal rental of one dollar a year
<br />v~lth the'City 'of Springfield, Oregon, for the lands described in Fkhlbit A,
<br />raising said properties to said City of Springfield to be used for any purposes
<br />not lnconSlsten~ with the r~ght of the City of.E~gene to lease the ~ame; and pro-
<br />viding in said lASso that not less than five acres shall be devoted to a'municl-
<br />pal park for the~Use of-the general public, and particularly for'the cities of
<br />EUgene, and Springfield.

<br />ed to confer with ~the Mayor cf the City of Springfield, and to convey to h~m
