Lee and CoUnelhnen Sl.~omons, Wllliamson, Ls~nb, McCulty and ~gh. Absent Wa~hburn~, Large and Hendershott. Meeting called to orde~ by the Mayor. Bids ~ ere opened as per the call for paving Olive Street from 15th to 17th Avenue.~, as follows: W.W. ~e~d Construction Co. $6433.20 Stlen Bros. ' 6761.25 Suct~ bids were referred to the Street Co~ittee for r~t and It reporte4 favora- b'12 on the bid of W.W. He~I at $6435'.20. 0m-motion such re~rt was mlopted and the NaMe r and Recorder were instructed to enter late ~ contact ~lth such successful biddee for such contract work. _ Bids were opened as per 'the call for the construction of a sewer on Fair- mount Blvd. from Orchard Street to the south lime of I~'t 6, Block 30, Malrme~t, as follows: Nautico Marqu lss ' $8~6.75 Oscar Snow 766.00 Yu~ker,Wleoks and C.o. 1053.25 Such bids were referred to the Street Co~lttee for report ~nd It re~rted favor- ably on the bid of Oscar Snow at $766.00. Om motion such report was ~opted and the Mayor and ~eoorder were instructed to enter into a contract with such success- ful bidder for such cbntraot work. Bids were opened as per the call for the sale of the $30,000.00 Water exten- sion Bonds, 1926, as follows: Freeman Smith and C~.np Co. )$100.07~ for each $100.00 of bonds and interest )at 4 ~ per annum. Pelrce, ~air and Co. )$102.02 for each $100.00 of bonds and ) interest at 5% per. annum. Geo. H. Burr, Conrad and Broom. )$12000.00 of such bonds at $1090.00 for each )$1000.00 of beads and ln~terest at 4~% and )$18000.00 of such bonds at $1000.00 for each )$1000.00 of bonds and interest at 4-~ per ) ann~. Ralph Schneeloch and )$1017.00 for each $1000.00 of' bonds and )interest at 5% per annum. Ferrls and Hartgrove )$15000.00 cf such bonds at $100.17 for each )$100.00 and interest a~' 4~J~ per annum, $15000.30 )of such bonds at $100 O0 fo~ each $100.00 and ) interest at 5%. Mlke RogeR~ appeared and asked as to a rebate for the paving ofl3th Avenue. He was informed figures are being compiled looking to a proposed rebate om various sS,feets where the 160 foot rule was in force lastyear. C.L. Bessonette appeared and suggested a method for the construction and financ- ing of a bridge over the ~,azon on Jefferson Street which lies wholly within the street intersection. Such matter was discussed, but no aetloa t~en. Mr. I~im of the Wentworth, Irwin Co. of Pertl~d aPPeared and filed ~ esti- mate for furalsh~g ~ f~usher for the city om the basis ef taking ia as part slderatiom ~h$ City's Federal Truck a~ $2~50.00 ~d leaving a net smount for such flusher of $~650.00 as per the estimate ca file. Said matter was referred to the Street Committee ~d, after discussion, It was, on roll call, unanimously carried such flusher be purchased lm accord~ce with the estimate. A petition was filed asking that Potter Street from 23rd to 25th Avenues be opened. The City ~glneer was directed to prepare plans for such opening. A petition was received to p ave 20th Avenue from Olive Street to Charnelton Street. Said matter was referred to the Stree~ Committee amd it recommended such petitle~ be grated. On motion such report was unanimously adopted.
